Many times in class when approaching a new medium if is normal to fell uneasy, but in my experience I have always found new challenges fun! This past quarter I have accomplish many new types of classical pastries and of course showpieces! My favorite so far has been sugar and pastiage which is a sugar dough. I also loved working with another sugar dough call gum paste! My partner and I made one amazing team combining our skills and creative ideas and here is some examples of what we accomplished in our new challenges.
Here are a couple of my solo pieces I worked on including a fat sculpture of one of my favorite characters from a tv show and my competition piece.
Faceing challenges is all apart of life and you will never know what your are capable of until you try. If you want to learn more about the mediums I have shown here, go to plus friday and ask a chef instructor in the bakery for guidance.
