Looking back, I realize how fortunate and privileged my life has been. I grew up in a loving home with an amazing family and a full tummy. After getting a taste of that independence I wanted Oh So Badly, life has smacked me on the head and uncovered the simple things that I have taken for granted.
Like waking up to clean and folded laundry in my basket. I miss the ritual goodnight kisses from Mom and Dad, even the constant, incessant bark of Gracie. I miss arguing over petty, meaningless things with my sister. I miss helping my brother clean his room and playing super mario brothers on the wii till 4 am.
Mise en place means "everything in it's place." These three words mean so much to me. They remind me of where I am in life and where I will be heading. How amazing it is that I have the opportunity to be in one of the best schools in the nation. Sullivan University, and every person in it, are leaving a remarkable impact on my life. This tattoo is a reminder to keep my priorites in the places they belong, where my heart is.
